Gosh, what a week its been.. wait scrap that, what a year, a quick blogpost is called for to update you on what's happening with my book.
Today on the way to Cheltenham Spa train station my mother remarked 'Ben, would you ever have thought a year or two ago that your brother Tom would have moved out, that the business would start to grow so much and that at 22 years old you would be a published author' - the short answer is no, im stunned it has been quite a remarkable adventure for me which is only just starting to take shape. But what a week indeed, on Tuesday the 17th of May, after a long day of shooting the final images for my book 'Making Organic Ice Cream' with the fantastic TammyLynn, I was totally surprised and over the moon to find my book listed on Amazon and Waterstones online stores. So you can imagine just how excited I got when the book was charting at 15 on the hot new releases list and globally at 11,000 - im told the highest any Spring Hill published author has entered the charts - a very strong glass of Scotch was called for!
The book - 'Making Organic Ice Cream' is available right now for pre-order from Amazon here and Waterstones here, the finish on the book is already looking spectacular, the recipes of which there are close to 100 from ice cream and sorbets to semifreddo and topping syrups, heavily feature the use of organic, local, ethically sourced and high quality ingredients, the majority of which can be grown at home or locally foraged with relative ease.
